Diploma engineering admission result 2014-15 2nd Shift has been published. The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) is one of the government agencies for Human Resource Development (HRD) of the country in Technical and Vocational Education. The Directorate of Technical Education was established in 1960 to create skilled human resources through the development and expansion of Technical Education.
The office of the Directorate of Technical Education is located at F-4/B , Agargaon Administrative Area, Sher-E-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka -1207. It was started with five Technical Institutes at Shikka Bhaban, 16 Abdul Gani Road, Dhaka-1000. At present this number reached in 119 institutions.. Under the Directorate, there are three Degree level Engineering Colleges; One Technical Teacher’s Training College, One Vocational Teacher’s Training Institute; 49 Polytechnic/Equivalent Institutes; 64 Technical School and Colleges; one central store located at Narayangonj; eight Regional Inspectors Offices. In addition to this, Directorate provides support for introducing Technical Vocational Education and Training to 856 private SSC Vocational schools; 727 HSC Business Management Colleges and 13 Madrasha have SSC (Vocational) & 05 Madrasha having HSC (BM) Curriculum.

10. Maintaining Communication and taking part in programs of International Technical Organizations.
11. Offering assistance and consultation for the GOB to adapt strategies for the case of Technical Education sector.
